Where wine tastes best? The answer is, of course, near a vineyard. If we add to that the sophisticated dishes of the wellness cuisine, we get an exceptional dinner which fully shows how wine and dishes can simultaneously emphasize each other’s advantages. Dinner will be hosted by the certificated oenologist of Mierzęcin Palace Wellness & Wine Resort, Piotr Stopczyński, and the Head Chef, Dawid Łagowski. Tales about the wine, about the vineyard and about the secrets of a sommelier’s job as well as exhaustive information about the correct method of matching wines with dishes – all of the elements mentioned above will enrich the professional knowledge and skills of the participants of the meeting.

In the programme:

  • basic wine course,
  • information about wine production and wine selection depending on the needs and preferences of the customer,
  • determining predispositions to become a sommelier,
  • playing with the 30 most common aromas existing in wine,
  • common rules concerning judging wine quality.

The following wines will be served during dinner:

  • sparkling wine as an aperitif,
  • table wines from the Mierzęcin Palace Vineyard (white, rose, red),
  • dessert wine.

A sample menu (6 dishes with 6 tasted wines): 

  • Salmon in spice dust on tomato puree
  • Goat cheese, grape and caramelized red onion tart
  • Shrimp Broth
  • Long roasted beef cheeks, green pea mousse, young carrots and sauce with hint of dark chocolate
  • Fillet of guinea hen cooked sous-vide, parsley puree, beans and bison grass sauce
  • Chocolate fondant

  • one night with breakfast,
  • a ceremonial tasting dinner,
  • a tour of the vineyard, of the processing plant and of the wine cellar.
